Iris
My friend and me walked through the park and admired the numerous irises. I wanted to paint this flower. Fully open, mature and frank. And at the same time, a half-open bud shyly hiding and a tightly twisted bud giving hope for beauty.
Also, the golden gentle panicles of grass highlight the power of Iris.
The painting, size 30x40, was made in acrylic using a palette knife.
