The final painting of the exhibition WHAT IT FEELS LIKE FOR A GIRL focuses on celebrating a woman’s confidence, courage, and inner beauty. A woman with dwarfism is portrayed as a powerful, joyful, and independent being, sitting atop a monumental desert rose whose cascade of pink petals evokes tenderness, softness, and feminine energy. The flower is a metaphor for the female body as a place of life, vulnerability, and strength. Her small figure is not diminishing but heroic-the artist breaks proportional realism to emphasize emotional truth: a small body on a large flower represents a great soul in a world of prejudice, and her laughter is natural, sincere, and unrestrained. In her hands, she holds a black-and-gold bust of a woman’s head, referencing both the visual logo of the exhibition and the symbolism of dual feminine principles.
