FACE IS THE KEY

Cloud Atlas series

The painting developed from a sensory experiment: touching sculptures without the ability to see them. It began as a study of shape and memory, evolving into a reflection on perception itself — how we “see” when sight is taken away. In the symbolic layer, the Vigenère cipher appears, with the title of the work as the key. The encryption becomes a metaphor for the hidden meaning of the face — a mask, an emotion, an identity concealed beneath the surface. The work was first presented during the Night of Museums in Warsaw and later exhibited at the 3u10 Gallery of Investment Art.
