This painting is my interpretation of the early days of the autumn season. I have always been intrigued by nature and capturing the feelings and emotions that I feel in a particular space. I am fascinated in why some spaces capture my attention while other equally beautiful spaces go virtually unnoticed. Over the years of observing these spaces I have found that the elements of color, movement, and light play a big part in capturing my attention. It is these elements that initially influence the direction of this painting. However, as the painting process continues, I allow for the reactionary process to take over. During this phase of painting, I hope to capture the feelings and emotions that the space provided me.
