Scientific Confections

Leigh Rowles - Australia

Imagination is more important than knowledge, for knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.”                                                      Einstein

This metaphorical work depicts a subjective, (perhaps) humorous, fanciful conglomeration of quirkiness, offering a (seemingly simple, but multifarious) picture, which gives a ‘sugar and spice’ impression of a concocted, finite, readily-acceptable cosmic realm.

This defies, however, the stark, intriguing, enigmatic mysteries of the uni/multiverse/s, which is/are conversely founded upon deeply complex questions, theories, suppositions, assertions, and mathematical equations of the physics, chemistry and substance of cosmic alchemies and asymmetries … profound questions of it’s infinite unknowns.

A centred cross, protected, confined, and surrounded by concentric circles, which are traversed by the enlarging cross, submerges and reappears to exert beams of radiated light.

Pinnacles are protected by more circles, which simultaneously project/generate long cones of shafted light.

Bands of gold dominate this confectionery of a finite cosmic multiparameter … a fantasy of (seemingly attainable) delight, which conceals the starkly mysterious endlessness, which are the foundational elements of our reckonings of the impossible.
