"In its simplest form painting is just a practice of applying paint, pigment, colour or other medium to a surface". But for me the story just does'nt end there.....

Based in Dubai since 7 years, born and brought up in India coming from a defence/military background, my love for art was seen in my early ages with a gift from the one above. I am largely a self taught painter, evolving every day with each stroke of paint. As, I studied BA in Hotel Management , UK and B.B.A , India, I had to abandon my passion for painting and art, off and on to concentrate on my education and career. But there's been a sense of peace every since I revisited and began to explore my passion for painting even further and its now I can say I am painting and recreating my life.

Philosophical and spiritual by nature, my paintings come to life when the world I have created in my mind clashes with the reality, therefore, they reflect my response to life with its people. Each stroke is a portrayal of spirituality and simplicity, which are figurative to a large extent with focus on the complexities of our mindful thoughts i.e. the prejudices and preconceived notions which are the mental blocks that limit a powerful mind"s vision.. Having had more women influence in my early life and after travelling around the world over a 100 destinations, women and eyes (which I believe are gates to our soul) remain my true obsession. With my "Mind & Body" collection, which, is a special dedication to celebrating femininity, I have tried to portray different phases in an ever evolving women's life and what lies beyond is the intensity of the subject matter that I try to express through the use of bold colours and textures. With some pieces of art dedicated to Lord Buddha, wherein you would see the phase of transition and attainment of Buddhahood, which is in alignment to my spiritual enlightenment.

All I can at the end of the day, is that, everyone would have their own interpretation of a particular piece of art. What is more important is that there is a connection.

(I paint mostly with acrylic colours and charcoal with a traces of textures in most of my paintings.)
