    BIO

I was born in Opole, Poland and currently residing in Oslo, Norway. I always loved to draw and paint. Since I was a little girl I was involved in activities that had to do with Art. Subsequently, I started studying art as soon as I could. At the age of 12 I applied to a school of Art in my city Opole. I passed the test of drawing and painting with full score at the first time. After 3 successful years I decided to continue studying art in “OSSP” high school in Opole. During these 6 years I studied drawing, painting, design, sculptures and art history. I learned many different painting techniques and studied work of masters of the past. All that I learned during these years had great influence on my later works. I graduated high school winning the first prize for the paintng of the year. After that, at age 18 I successfully applied to the university of Art in Poland. Although I was accepted, I didnt want to fallow the footsteps of being a contemporary artist. I understood that what I am being taught to do, is not what I want and what inspires me . After a short period of time I felt discouraged by the teaching methods of established art universities and decited that I don’t want to follow in the same mould. I realized that this is not the place for me as I am not taught what I am passionate about. Therefore, I decided to drop off the course. After that I continued self education developing my skills and painting. In my art work I uses many diferent techniques, understanding that each painting asks for its own approach and treatment depending on what I want to express to the viewer. Through my art, I want to show the beauty of people and the world and bring something positive. I understands that there is a lot of beauty in the world, and it’s hard to refuse to express that through painting. I’m always trying to represent nature’s visiual effects relaying on the progression of knowledge shared and learned from the previous great artist of the past. My biggest inspiration are people. Therefore, my work is often a portraiture and figurative painting. I’ve been working with oil paints for many years which became my favorite medium. My love to realism is widely seen in my paintings through the beautiful composisions of lines, shapes, values, textures and colors.
