Inner Head Collection Piece #01, 2026
Polymer clay, acrylic, and matte varnish on support, beechwood frame
300 × 150 cm
Unique piece
This large-scale work arranges 189 miniature heads within a rigorous grid, establishing a relationship between structural order and individual variation. Each element is hand-modeled in polymer clay, then carefully hand-painted with acrylic and finished with a matte varnish, revealing a meticulous and repetitive process that unfolds over time.
The formal repetition suggests a systematic, almost archival logic, while subtle variations between each face introduce a sense of singularity. The work is enclosed within a beechwood frame, whose structural presence reinforces the contrast between the geometric rigor of the arrangement and the individual expressiveness of each figure.
