Love that Lingers

Fleeting moments are something every mother experiences as she watches her child grow up. Inspired by a photograph, I reinterpreted this memory in my own watercolor style to capture the warmth and emotion of a mother holding her son in a moment of pure joy. A mother’s love is comforting, unconditional, and overflowing with affection. Yet as children grow older, they slowly begin to drift away, leaving behind memories that mothers often revisit and cherish. Through this painting, I wanted to express the bittersweet feeling of looking back on a time when her son was still small enough to fit in her arms. Joy and childhood pass quickly, but the love between a mother and child remains constant. This piece serves as a reminder to appreciate the people who nurture, support, and shape us into who we are today.
