Sensitive Content

Iga Konarska - Poland

Instagram decided my pain was too much to see. This painting recreates the platform's blurring overlay — the algorithmic warning that hides content deemed "sensitive" — applied directly onto a self-portrait. Behind every warning label is a real face. Behind every face is a nervous system that was not designed to fit the format. Living with ADHD means existing in a world that constantly asks you to filter yourself, tone yourself down, become less visible. The grey-blue palette of the digital interface merges with skin — technology and body becoming indistinguishable. The irony is deliberate: by painting the censorship itself, the work insists on being seen. Art that is hidden is not protected. It is erased
