Cluj as seen by its artists (collective exhibition and printed album)

Born in 1980, in Romania, I work and live in Cluj-Napoca. As a fresh mother, I decided to experience womanhood as authentically as possible. My paintings reflect my life as well as my intelectual interests.

I am a selftaught artist, following the advice and guidance of several mentors originated in the Cluj-Napoca art school and university.

As a painter, I record my experiences of motherhood, of womanhood, filtering them through my interests in psychology and philosophy. I like to see my paintings as subtle metaphors with just as much subtle humor in them. The meaning of life remains to be found.

Artistic education
My artistic pursuit starts in 2007 with my first private mentored studies. So far I have had two mentors who have taught me about technique and expression. I admire both and still have not surpassed either. Both are PhD at the Cluj Art University.
