I am 72 years old. For 45 years, I was a Wall Street lawyer. For decades I have been an avid photographer. Last year, I retired from law practice and turned to photography as my second career. My company is Romano Images. Its focus is natural landscape photography. No gimmicks; just point and shoot.

My photography in recent years has taught me that natural beauty can be found even in places where you might not think to look. It’s remarkable what’s hiding in plain view -- on the sunlit surface of lakes and rivers and at seaports. After sunset, streetlights can also create alluring water reflections.

These water reflections are more about form and color than about the physical objects they reflect -- and the colors are magnificent, the variety endless.

I’ve also noticed how dynamic these images can be -- a slight breeze across the water’s surface changes the image continually so that each frame is unique. 

To me, these water reflections are Nature's abstract paintings.
