KOMOREBI

This painting represents the Imperial Garden of Shinjuku Gyoen. This image appeared to me while I was meditating on a bench in the shade of the trees watching the light play with the leaves, during my stay in Tokyo in August 2018. I was fascinated by this magnificent garden gathering multitude of plant species. When I found the ad for the Art Olympia competition the next night I dreamed of the word "Komorebi" and researching its meaning on the internet saw a sign and the web was born!
