When driving through residential areas in villages or outskirts, you will more often notice single-family houses that do a lot to separate themselves from the outside world. Fences, hedges and walls are erected and ultimately serve to withdraw, to defend against the others and the outside. 

How far do you go to achieve this? What are you willing to do to keep yourself to yourself? What risk are you taking?

The photographs trace the conflict that arises between the attempt to fend off the outside and the associated restrictions I the inside. The exclusion of others ist ultimately your own limitation!?
