Between Seeing and Vanishing

Between Seeing and Vanishing explores the unstable threshold between appearance and disappearance, where perception no longer resolves into a fixed image. The work approaches terrain as something remembered rather than depicted , an echo of spatial depth that continually slips between formation and erasure.

Through layered gestures and dissolving fields of mark-making, the painting holds a tension between structure and instability, where space appears only to withdraw. What emerges is not a representation of terrain, but its residue, an abstract condition in which form, memory, and perception remain in constant dissolution.
