In Consumed, the elongated figure stands at the centre of a dense, fragmented landscape. Red, ochre and black move around the body almost as forces of their own, blurring the boundary between figure and environment.
The work considers moments when emotion becomes larger than the individual carrying it. The absence of facial features removes a specific narrative, leaving the figure as a vessel for experiences that can be both deeply personal and universally recognizable.
