His interest in still life photography was sparked during the third year of his degree while he studied at Willem de Kooning academy in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

He was heavily influenced by the dutch style of still life photography which originates from classical paintings.

His photography is based on this classical dutch style and heavily influenced by modern advertising photography creating a unique and vibrant fusion.
