Elsa Charalampous is a Greek visual artist born in Syros and based in Luxembourg since 2020. She graduated with excellence from the Athens School of Fine Arts, earning an Integrated Master’s degree in Painting. From 2002 to 2021, she taught “Color and Drawing” at the Department of Product and Systems Design of the University of the Aegean.
Her work, essentially anthropocentric, encompasses painting, mosaic, construction, installation, digital art, video, and mixed techniques. The human figure — a true narrator in itself — remains her central source of inspiration.
She has participated in several biennials across the UK, China, Japan, Spain, Poland, Portugal, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Korea, India, Luxembourg, and Brussels. Her work received an Honorable Mention at the Kazanlak International Mini Print Biennial and is held in major public and private collections, including the Ino-Cho Paper Museum (Japan), the National Art Museum of China (Beijing), the CICA Museum (Korea), the Centro de Arte de Alcobendas (Spain), the National Stockport Gallery (UK), as well as various public collections in the Netherlands, England, and Greece.
