Biography of the Artist Jacklyn Gratzfeld

The American Artist Jacklyn Gratzfeld  has lived in New York State, Connecticut, Germany and Singapore.  She was born in Ilion, New York in 1961.  Since July of 2015 she again resides in the Palatinate region of Germany.

Her works are mainly found in private collections in the United States, Asia and Europe.

Parallel to some exhibitions she gives interesting foto presentations which are part of children`s projects which focus on animals, ecology and Art.  She is currently writing and illustrating the biography of an Asian elephant.

Maya Gallery received the Best Asian Contemporary Art Gallery of the Year Award in 2014 by the Singapore National Critics Choice. 

Her self-portrait  The Night  was selected by Manhattan Arts International 2007-2008 -  Best in Oil Painting. 

She works mainly in oil, pastel and  acrylic.  Her subject matter is found in nature She travels extensively to gather inspiration for her artwork visiting National Parks and animal conservation projects, combining Art with the preservation of nature..  She creates and celebrates beauty and emotion and gives a voice to the part of nature that cannot speak.   In 2013 Jacklyn established her company Art is Wild in Singapore.

 www.artiswild.com     Art is Wild is responsible for the exhibition and sale of Jacklyn`s Art and for various projects she supports.  Parallel to the exhibition of her artwork she composes and gives entertaining Photo presentations on the themes represented in her artwork for adults and children, and children`s workshops.  She is an Artist member of the Southern Palatinate Art Guild in Germany.
