Rekha Gurtu did five years of diploma in drawing and painting and an MA in Economics from Gwalior. 

She participated in a group show by 20/20 artists from Bhopal at Lalit Kala Academy at Rabindra Bhavan in Delhi.

She was also a part of a group show by 32 prominent artists at Lalit kala Academy.

She contributed to the 20/20 group show at Indore and Swaraj Bhavan and Bharat Bhavan Bhopal.

she also participated in All Woman’s Panting exhibition at Bharat Bhavan Bhopal in 2012. As well in 2012, she was invited by AIFACS for senior artists’ camp in Delhi. She also Participated in a group show at AIACS IN MARCH 2012.

With her narrative and old raj period style, she has given a refreshing and charming appeal to oil on canvas. She is also working at BHARAT BHAVAN BHOPAL in ceramics in country style.
