From the Grip of Quarantine

I finished this oil painting in 2020 during the three months when we were confined to our homes because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the restrictions on our movement, food and fruit remained abundantly available. This contrast between confinement and abundance inspired the work. Through this still-life composition, I sought to transform our feelings of confinement into art, preserving the memory of that period beyond its passing.
