In 2026, Dariusz Witold Mierzwa participated in the international solidarity exhibition “Wolność - Свобода” held in Odessa, Ukraine. The exhibition was organized in cooperation with the Association of Polish Visual Artists and the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Odessa as a cultural gesture of solidarity, dialogue and support for Ukraine during a period of ongoing geopolitical tension and humanitarian crisis.
During the exhibition, Mierzwa presented his painting “Children of War II” - a symbolic reflection on the vulnerability of innocent lives affected by war, displacement and collective trauma. The work attracted attention for its emotional depth and humanitarian message, becoming part of a broader artistic dialogue about freedom, dignity and the human consequences of contemporary conflicts.
The exhibition gathered artists, diplomats, representatives of cultural institutions and international guests, creating a space where contemporary art became a form of reflection, empathy and intercultural communication.
