Arturo Sayan was born in 1984 in Armenia. 
Immediately after graduating from High school he embarked on and succesfully completed his studies in Theater Directing at Yerevan State University of Theater and Cinematography. 
His Diploma work was the play "The Bald Soprano" by Eugene Ionesco. 
After his graduation he started working as an actor at the Chamber Theater in Yerevan. 
In 2003 Arturo Sayan founded "New Art" Production in Armenia. He went on to film numerous short films many of which have outstandingly taken part in some International Film Festivals. 
In 2010 he completed the Laboratory for Young Theater Directors within the Chekhov International Competition in Moscow. 
Arturo is the author of the book "Ravings of the jester". 
In 2013 he moved to Germany. Ever since continues to actively engage within the arts. At first he partook in the musical play "Number Opera" at the Schauspiel Frankfurt, after which he starred in the short film "Trust me" at the "Gorilla 48" Film Festival. Then Arturo played the main role of an NS Agent in the film "The NSA, the City and Death". 
Through collaboration with "New Art" and "VideoOn" Productions Sayan’s own short film "Following the wind" was born in 2015.
He is currently studying in the film/based time media class at the Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design, Kiel, Germany.
