Cameron E. Gerhold is an auditory and visual artist. He is an American neo-classical composer, emerging contemporary abstract artist who takes macro photograph of his acrylic paintings to enlarge the intimate details unseen by the naked eye.
Born in May of 1987 in beautiful Honolulu, Hawaii. The region's geography, beaches, plants, flowers, and insects served as sources of inspiration in all his artistic ventures. His bold use of colors, textures, and patterns is contemporary and abstract in a refreshing, invigorating, and engaging way.
In 2012 he earned a degree at the University of Washington, Seattle, in music and ethnomusicology, specializing in the gamelan of Indonesia. He has composed an assortment of musical works for piano, small ensembles, orchestra, and wind bands. Selected works have been performed by musicians in various parts of the world.
He moved to San Francisco in 2013 where he continues to focus on his artistic career.
