My name is Abdulla Khamis Omar, also known as Dullah. I was born on 12/12/1990 in the Island of Unguja. Unguja is the main Island that makes up Zanzibar, which is located on the East coast of Tanzania. Zanzibar is best known for its production of Spices, though it holds many secrets including one of the oldest slave market in Africa, which is located in heart of Stone Town (UNESCO world heritage site). |

I’m one of up an coming artist in the Islands. In case you are wondering why I’ve decided to use Dullah as my site name, .STOP. Dullah is just short for Abdulla. |

I have been drawing ever since I could remember. One day when I was just eleven years old my father caught me scribbling in my exercise book. I thought I was a goner, but much to my surprise instead punishing me, he was Imprest and in rolled me in an art school. Shortly after that a dream was borned. In my spare time I like to draw Zanzibar Door, Dhow, Stone Town building, Local Buses, Fisher man and many more by using brush, pen and ink, charcoal, oil color, acrylic color, water color, pastel and others medias. |

One day when I was at beach drawing Zanzibar dhow a tourist walked by and convise me to sell my painting for 30$. That is when I realized I could make a living out of it. |

Seven years later I managed to organize a group of artists, most of I meet when I was starding at old Fort. We paint different style like abstract, realism, emprationalism, modalism. But never stray away for our mission which is presenting Zanzibar Image and culture to the world. |
