Kelly (Zixuan) Qi is a digital mixed-media collage artist born in Beijing, China (1990). She graduated in Fashion Design and Patternmaking from the École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne in Paris in 2017 and received a Master's in Fashion Management from the University for the Creative Arts in the UK in 2021. Her artistic practice blends autobiographical collage, surrealism, and psychological exploration. Her work interweaves personal memories and emotions with astrological metaphors to explore the transformation of individual growth and inner conflicts.

Her work uses 'my childhood self' as the narrative protagonist, exploring how childhood experiences influence personal emotional and psychological growth. Through this autobiographical collage, she combines her memories with astrological constellations and horoscope dilemmas, creating an artistic space filled with metaphors and emotional layers. Her themes focus on psychological healing, female development, individual and collective identity, and the interaction between memory and self.

Her work uses digital mixed media collage as the main method, combining personal childhood photos, public domain images, and digitally painted texture elements (such as linen, felt, and embroidery stitches) to create a handmade collage atmosphere, presenting a unique surrealist style. Through these media, she conveys the complexity of emotions and employs soothing colors to create a healing atmosphere. Each work invites viewers into a world that is both real and fantastical, guiding them toward emotional resonance and a sense of healing.

She is currently working on a series titled 'Stardust Journey,' which uses the twelve zodiac signs as metaphors and inspiration to explore the multiple possibilities of self-healing. Next, she plans to launch a new series inspired by difficult aspects of the Sun and Moon in astrology. Using a three-act structure, she will present the process from conflict, transformation, to healing, further deepening her artistic exploration of self-awareness and emotional healing.
