Lines on White and Red

Aga Kucia - Poland

Lines on White and Red – the background for this painting is two colors: white and red. The white color highlights and paints an abstract shape at the top of the painting, suggesting the slow process of paint flowing downward under the influence of gravity. It's painted on a red background. The background is a very smooth, spray-painted surface.
" At the still point of the turning world..."  these words from T.S. Eliot's poem could be a motto complementing the title of the painting and presenting its idea. The red and white lines represent a different, faster movement, and are abstract and conceptual.
An abstract and conceptual painting on linen canvas, painted with acrylics, 80x90cm
