Too Much / Too Loud / Too Real

Iga Konarska - Poland

Twenty self-portraits. One face. One brain that refused to be hidden.  This installation view documents the complete series "Too Much / Too Loud / Too Real" — twenty oil paintings on canvas, each 50 × 50 cm, arranged as a single visual statement. The grid format is deliberate: it mirrors the structure of a social media feed, a scroll of faces and moments that the algorithm would blur, flag, or suppress. But here they are — unfiltered, uncensored, impossible to scroll past.  Each painting is a self-portrait and a symptom: ants that will not stop crawling, a jellyfish where a tear should be, a mute button pressed over a mouth, a content warning painted in oil. Together they form a body of evidence — not of illness, but of a life lived at full volume in a world that preferred silence.  The blue-to-purple palette unifies twenty separate moments into one continuous experience: the experience of living with ADHD, of being too much, and refusing to apologise for it.
