Agustin Sanchez

Born in Mexico City in 1966. From 1988 to 1991 he attended the Academy of Fine Arts of the National Institute of Fine

Arts in Mexico City. In 1991 he went to New York with the interest to supplement its own research on the Aca art. In

1991 he moved to Italy where in 1996 he graduated at the Accademia Carrara di Belle Arti di Bergamo with the thesis -

COGNITIVE PROCESSES AND THE VIRTUAL REALITY. In 1997 he attended the 5th year of specialization

established in the Academy. In 1997 selected the Advanced Course in Visual Arts proposed by Ratti Foundation in

Como (IT), having as a Visiting Professor Allan Kaprow. Since 1995 he undertook numerous seminars at leading

software companies worldwide in the use and analysis of software for multimedia production, is dedicated to artistic

research (involving media ranging from photography, video and new technologies) and the design and construction of

multimedia products. In 1998 he participated as Assistant to the BODY and SOUL Workshop, organized by the

consortium CARE OF-VIA FARINI - Milano (IT) coordinated by Dimitris Kozaris for the exhibition THE EDGE OF

AWARENESS.

His artistic training, courses and seminars held in Italy and abroad, giving life to his profesional activities, from the first

90 years that focuses on the study and research of new media, as technological extensions that expand the creative

possibilities of 'artist . The work led him to collaborate actively with artists and companies as a consultant, designer,

author and coauthor of an important number of works and publications, including CD-ROMs, Web Site and Video Art.

Professional assignments:

Professor of Digital Applications for the visual arts at the Carrara Academy of Fine Arts (Bergamo).

Head of the Multimedia Laboratory at the Carrara Academy of Fine Arts (Bergamo).

Professor of Digital Photography at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts (Milan) until 2012.

Professor of Multimedia at the LABA Academy of Fine Arts (Brescia) until 2010.
