Born in 1973 in Dakar, lives and works between Senegal, France and Japan. After a detour through law school in Dakar, he turned to the fine arts and graduated from the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Dakar in 1998. His training then leads to Tokyo where he attended successively studies in japanese painting(nihonga),graphic design and finally digital textile printing.
  The artist has devoted a significant part of his activities to dyeing fabrics but it is his work as a painter that he exhibits between Japan, Senegal and France. Many influences are felt in his paintings representing a firework of colors that do not yet mask the delicacy of his work and maturity.
