Filip Ignatowicz is a (2014) graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk; awarded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage during the exhibition The Best Diplomas of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poland. Although his works stem from painting, they are multidisciplinary. He creates videos, installations, performances, as well as actions in public spaces. He also deals with film, photography and artistic research projects. His recent works attempt to look at the human condition functioning in the consumerist reality. The author of a continuously developing project FIGNACY&co., co-author of such projects as GIFT SHOP and "there was a roof, there was a home". Currently a student of Gdynia Film School and doctoral student of the Interdepartmental Doctoral Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk.
