I am fascinated by the field of art and the area of psychology around it.

My main interest has grown to be centred around colour and line, and their unique approach in the creation of “Expressive Forms”. Hence, the process of my work is guided by the tactile quality of paint. I start applying colour onto my drawing till these two become one in the realisation of my idea of these “Significant Forms” .

In BFA Painting I have acquired and honed the skills of the visual language. I was dealing with the themes and subject close to my Indian middle class religious background. The imagery for these works was drawn from the rituals and traditions which were a part of my daily life.

During the MVA Fine Art program, I am exploring further this subject / theme of the unusual organic forms on two dimensional supports.

As my visual language was maturing, the chosen medium of my work varied in response to these themes. This execution was supported with the feel and heft of my tools as well as its specific surface. Although the themes expressed therein are drawn from my personal experiences, I am interested in arousing sensory emotions in the viewer on this subject matter.
