Qian Zhang is a young Chinese artist from Hangzhou. After finishing a degree in animation from China Academy of Art, she moved to New York where she is now creating interactive artworks that speak about human interaction in multiple layers, such as putting nostalgic, sad into a playful context. She uses her projects as vehicles for understanding the environment around her especially when she is making a piece of documenting about the impulse to create visual memories. As a second-year graduate student in Digital Arts Department, Pratt Institute, she is using interactive installations, projection mapping, web design, image and video editing.
