Into the Depths: Tissues and Echoes

“Into the Depths: Tissues and Echoes” began with an interest in what might exist beneath the surface - the parts of the mind that remain difficult to see, name, or understand.

The red structures resemble living tissue, something organic yet strangely exposed. Beneath them, roots and tendrils disappear into darkness, suggesting something deeper and less familiar. Eyes emerge from within this space, watching, searching, or simply remaining present.

I was interested in the tension between what can be seen and what remains hidden. The elements are not meant to have only one meaning. Some came from conscious ideas, while others appeared through the process of making the image.

The work became a way of looking inward without knowing exactly what I would find there.

What lies beneath the surface?
And what happens when something from within begins to rise into view?
