Self-Portrait in a Hat comes from the series of Self-Portraits ans Portraits that I am painting from the begining of my artistic work. I am interested in preserving myself in different periods of my life, catching distinct feelings and emotions. What is the aim of the artist's portrait's painting? It is a quest to define the meaning of existence, a struggle with matter and the tradition of the medium, combined with an ideological search or salvation of one's identity.
