Oneirataxia

Oneirataxia explores the emotional and spiritual presence of nature through photography. Centring on nature as both a physical and psychological space, the work considers how memory, perception and lived experience become fluid and interconnected.

Drawing on early experiences of wonder and imagination, Oneirataxia transforms familiar landscapes into spaces suspended between reality and imagination, inviting viewers to slow down and enter a more intuitive way of seeing.

Central to the process is the digital layering of photographs captured in natural environments. Rather than documenting a single moment, the work brings temporal fragments together within one frame. Fleeting encounters become condensed visual memories, materialising experiences that ordinarily exist only as internal recollections.

Through this process, Oneirataxia considers photography not as a medium that freezes time, but as one capable of accumulating duration, sensation and memory.
