June Tuan is a Taiwanese contemporary painter whose practice investigates how musical time can be transformed into visual space. She developed Painting–Music Fusion, a visual methodology that translates melody, rhythm, harmony and counterpoint into relationships of color, movement and pictorial structure.

Working across abstraction, landscape and cultural memory, Tuan draws from Taiwanese folk music, classical music, travel and her experience as a cellist. Her recent works move from direct chromatic encoding toward broader questions of simultaneity, perception, memory and place.

In 2026, she presented Painting–Music Fusion through solo and invitational exhibitions in Taiwan and published the bilingual monograph Painting・Music・Variations: June Tuan｜Painting–Music Fusion. Her current framework, Variations, extends this inquiry across sound, time, place and lived experience.
