Ambitious, Passionate and Creative are a few adjectives which people associate with Shaurya. He is a graduate in history from Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, University of Delhi. He was a LEADearth Fellow 2013-14 as part of LEADearthSHIP (a TERI-Tetra Pak youth initiative). He has served as the President of National Service Scheme Unit, Delhi College of Arts and Commerce and the Interim President of Prakriti-The Environment Society of DCAC. He has also been associated with Save The Quest in the capacity of an advisor, content-writer and In Charge-Corporate Liaison & Funding.

An art and culture enthusiast, Shaurya has presented a paper titled “A Vibrant Stillness : Revisiting Umrao Jan ‘Ada’ ” in a UGC National Seminar and curated exhibitions on the First World War and the Indian courtesans. In his free time, he paints, reads historic fiction and observes people.
