California artist/educator/curator Christina Shurts, has exhibited both internationally and nationally. Museum exhibitions include the Torrance Art Museum, Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design, University Art Museum.  Solo exhibitions at Galleri Oxholm, Denmark, Rare Gallery, New York, Lawrence Asher Gallery, Los Angeles. Group exhibition highlights include Saatchi Gallery, London, Pacific Design Center, Los Angeles, Rema Hort Mann art Foundation. Art fairs include  Art Copenhagen, Scope, NY & Miami. She also is half of the performance art duo Citizen Caryatid.  Performances have been held in California, New York, Berlin and Barcelona, Spain.  Shurts is expanding her curatorial profile with co- curator Suzanne Unrein with the forthcoming multi discipline group exhibition, “Liminal of Not”.  She also teaches Drawing/ Painting/ Sculpture at Goldenwest College & Mount SAC College. Shurts earned her M.F.A., 2010, Drawing & Painting with Distinction of Creative Activity from California State University Long Beach and University California, Irvine, B.F.A., 2000.  Most recently earned and completed an international artist residency in Barcelona, Spain with The Collective, Europe, and upon return, moved her studio to the South Bay of Los Angeles.
