Kaleidoscope

The kaleidoscope (the word means „viewer of beautiful forms”), the endless variations, the succession of changes...

In terms of technique, „Kaleidoscope” is a graphic installation consisting of approximately 30 lino prints. The media of the graphic elements are different materials (paper, foil, cardboard, geotextile, reflective paper, etc.), which are layered on top of each other and stretched on a picture frame to create the final display. The project currently consists of 9 units, which form only one part of the Kaleidoscope’s final representation.

The „Kaleidoscope” is a metaphor for the cycle of constant and repetitive obligations formed in the everyday life of the mother, the housewife, the working woman, the wife. The graphics show self- portraits of the creator, with different facial expressions. The pacifier appearing in her mouth has strong symbolism, the interpretation of which can be examined from several perspectives.
