Jarosław Bikiewicz (1981) is a Polish sculptor, painter, photographer and designer whose work explores the intersection of art, technology and functional design. He is the creator of Botism—an original artistic and design movement that investigates the future relationship between humans, objects, architecture and digital civilization.
Educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, he studied sculpture under Grzegorz Kowalski, completed a sculptural annex with Jarosław Kozakiewicz, and graduated in industrial design under Tomek Rygalik and Grzegorz Niwiński.
His artistic practice combines sculpture, painting, photography, architecture and industrial design into a single conceptual system. Rather than treating these disciplines separately, Bikiewicz develops them as complementary expressions of one coherent artistic language.
The foundation of his work is Botism, a theory based on six principles, including multifunctionality, responsible design, the integration of art and utility, education through objects and architecture understood as a movable, transformable product. His works propose that future artistic objects should not merely be viewed but should actively interact with technology, human behaviour and contemporary living environments.
His sculptures frequently adopt biomorphic forms that conceal technological potential within organic structures, while his paintings investigate abstract systems inspired by biological processes, movement and transformation. Photography extends this exploration through performative and conceptual documentation.
His works have been presented at exhibitions and auctions and are held in private collections.
