A loss of control is something we avoid, and work tirelessly to regain, but what if we allow ourselves be lost? When there is a perpetual loss of control, it causes a singular relationship with one's environment. The work examines the loss of control, and the continual struggle to regain it. By creating environments with the pretense of control the photographs ultimately reveal the futility in believing one can control anything. The control retained over these manufactured landscapes results in an image where the viewer can experience "losing control." I create surreal worlds to lure the viewer in, until they become lost.
