Anusha Gajaweera is a Sri Lankan visual artist and has been working as a visiting lecturer since 2009. Anusha had graduated in Bachelor of Fine Arts (Special), University of Visual & Performing Arts, Colombo in 2008 and completed his Master of Arts, University of Kelaniya in 2012. He is currently reading the Master course in the Theertha School of Art. He had worked as a visiting lecturer in Sri Palee Campus, University of Colombo, Vibhavi Academy of art and currently working as a visiting lecturer in University of Visual and Performing Arts, Colombo, Swami Vipulananda Institute of Aesthetic Studies, Eastern University and University of Moratuwa. Anusha has contributed as an artist in many national and international art exhibitions and has curated several art exhibitions. He has also worked as an art director in several Television and Film productions and presented in national and international research conferences. The general theme of his artworks is social, political and institutional power, thus many of his art works brings forth the power struggle visible in socio-political entity in the country.
