Cecilia Cano was born in Mexico, in 1969 graduated in Communications and later majored in psychology. His passion for art has led her to choose a course of study that allows her to know and experience in various areas without academic influences. From sculpture to painting, materials and dimensions game, were the challenges that allowed her to develop an awareness and understanding of art through a journey of growth and individualized to find their own language. Her real passion is painting, which manages to express emotions through a language of magic, dreams and mystery masterfully. Her stone faces are shown on day and night and in different ways in the scenarios of past works of painter, and suffer a slow and gradual process of humanization and geometrization to be totemic. The characters have the gift of communicating without words, to strengthen our sense of belonging to a past and a common future, more didactic formality. The message the artist wants to communicate is so clear, simple, but very intense: Our origins, our culture, the religion we profess or the time in which we live, the relationship with our land and nature are an indivisible whole, and basis for all future. Cecilia Cano currently lives and works in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico.
