Kolkata based Photographer, has worked as an independent professional documentary photographer since 1996, main focus of works are cultural anthropology, heritage, economical migration, popular art forms.

Received fellowship from India Foundation for the Arts under art research project.

 Numerous published works in national & international media. Contributing to TIME magazine on assignment since 1999. He has received several international awards including the UNESCO, Canon, UNEP/National Geographic, Alliance Francaise, HPA/UN/Ford Foundation UNESCO. His photographs have been exhibited in museums in U.K, Japan, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, USA  and China. He has collaborated on art projects in the National Museum of Denmark and the Helsinki City Art Museum.

Assignments for  UNICEF, Action Aid, Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy, Calcutta Social Project, NHRC, Planet One, Save the Children, OXFAM, TATA Steel, ITC, Polar, USHA, the Bengal Chamber of Commerce, Berger Paints, Indian Oil Corp, Globsyn & others.
