Born in Havana
Education:
Formed at the San Alejandro Academy of Arts in the city of Havana in the speciality of Engraving and
Drawing, the artist works in painting, object sculpture, drawings and ceramics. Artist of a great
oringinality and intensity in his drawings and works, his references are Neo-Classical, Expressionist and
Informalist. Shows in his work the filtered experiences of a human and the psychological and subjective
universe. In 1994/95, assumed the direcction of the grafic workshop office/ Havana grafic atelier office
Carmelo González as a teacher-instructor of Engraving and additive tecnhiques. He also has developed
projects in the pedagogical área as a teacher of painting, drawing (in diferent ateliers in Cascais, Lisbon,
Serpa, MNAA, Musibéria, etc). Independently makes art critiques for professionals and students of Fine
Arts.
Living in Portugal fot more than 15 years, working and exhibiting in Milan, Basel, Havana and Lisbon.
