Frank den Os has been a playwright for most of his professional life. Looking back he now realises that the words he has written rarely touched completely on his true self and the many layers such a concept reputedly entails. With his language he kept trying to paint a picture that focussed on the outside, on how things appeared to him, without truly taking into account how things manifest themselves as true particles of how he feels.

Moving to the solitude of French country life somewhat years ago offered him a more convincing connection to what surrounds and opened his eyes to the meaningful omnipresence of nature. This solid inspiration sparked an urge to document his inner ramblings differently, by favouring images over words, making a world perceptible that was always there but veiled by inexperience

Den os works in acrylic and abstract collage, proven to be best suited for the creative process he develops, as it offers rich opportunities to expeditiously shape his intuition. The pieces he creates thus contain his private, personal response to all that is out there, no matter its insistence, luring, waving, bouncing, exploding, always vibrating on a level of its own, but perspicuously bursting with colour and life.
