Fraser Pollock is a Sydney-based visual artist. He has experimented with a range of mediums and over the years his work has moved through distinct and different phases. These include periods spent drawing lines, shapes and intricate patterns with a variety of inks to his current interest in broad brush acrylic abstracts using bold colours and large canvases. PRIZES

What I see at the end of the rainbow, 2009, 42 cm by 29 cm, coloured pencil on paper awarded first prize in the open category of the 2009 inaugural Matthew Jones Art Award. Entries were judged by a panel that included Gene Sherman from the Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation, Wairoa school deputy principal Annette Kay, artists Gary Shead and George Raftopoulos and Wentworth Courier editor David Mills.
