I was born in Harare, Zimbabwe in 1976. I attended the University of Cape Town in South Africa where I obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honors degree with a major in painting. In 2005 I immigrated to Australia although I presently reside in Hong Kong.

From childhood I have always had an innate compulsion to paint. No matter where I am in the world I am inspired by the textures, colors, and images around me. The subject matter in my practice is drawn from  personal experience and touches upon themes regarding identity, displacement, and our human fragility.

I have exhibited extensively worldwide.
