Saskia Rueb was born in Kampala, Uganda and was already as a child intrigued by the nature surrounding her. Once in the Netherlands, in high school, she discovered her passion for photography. The memebership of the Leidse Amateur Photographers Association (LAFV) pute her in the direction of nature photography.

“Darkness of Life”.

Her latest developments in photography can now be seen, during this contest, as part of the “Darkness of life“ series.

Intrigued by the analogue photographic principal of making a positive from a negative image she turns this idea around. Followed by giving back some light in the darkened pictures. This coloring represents the events in our life.
